BAO ?

The giants of the desert, emblematic and fascinating. One of the oldest living beings on our planet.

A unique silhouette, 30 meters stretching towards the sky and which, bare of leaves for much of the year, resembles inverted roots.

For many magical or sacred trees, the “upside down tree” affirms its longevity and its ability to adapt to difficult climatic conditions. Their imposing trunk stores enormous quantities of water, its fruit – “monkey bread” – nourishes humans, its leaves are renowned in traditional medicine and its bark is used to make shelter.

Native to tropical regions, certain species of baobabs can live for several millennia.
