BAO, born from a dream
The story of BAO wine begins in the heart of a little-known region in the wine world, where the land is arid and the sun is merciless.
The Ndalo family, wine growers for generations, cultivated an estate in the shade of century-old baobab trees, guardians of their land, a place where legends and realities mixed.
When a drought threatened their vineyard, Mosi Ndalo, the eldest, had a strange dream. A baobab advised him to draw strength from the earth itself and not to force things. Inspired, Mosi drew water from the baobab trees to irrigate the vines and adopted techniques that respected the soil and local climate.
The resulting grapes produced a unique, robust and complex wine, which he called “BAO”. This wine quickly became famous for its flavor and its connection to the resilience of the baobab tree.
The BAO now symbolizes resistance, respect for nature, and wisdom, carrying the spirit of the baobab throughout the world.
Today, each bottle of BAO tells this story, that of a legendary tree, of a family who knew how to listen to the earth, and of a wine which, like the baobab, defies time. The baobab is a reminder of the resilience of nature and its ability to adapt and survive through the ages.
